A Note from The Virtual Wall1LT Wolfe was an artillery officer. While proof positive is not available it seems likely he was assigned as a Artillery Forward Observer with C Company, 3/12th Infantry, which lost seven men on 30 Aug 1968 during an engagement in Kontum Province:
