On 24 March 1971 C Company, 4/3rd Infantry, lost four men in an engagement 5 kilometers southwest of Ca Lu:
  • SGT Douglas E. Ayers, Plainville, CT;
  • CPL Bernardo K. Ramos, Watsonville, CA;

  • PFC Herman E. Pichon, New Orleans, LA.
