I would like everyone who knew Jim to know that his little second cousin Cara... Sandra's daughter ... honored him at the Traveling Wall this past weekend in Napoleon, Ohio. I made a wood staff of sinew, pheasant feathers, sky blue glass crow beads and bone beads and ...a red ribbon said "In honor of James Talbott". Also I will dance at powwow after the veterans ... when I can dance in memory and honor of Jim...

Jim was a superb athlete and although I was two years older, I played on the same team in 4 sports. He was a very nice, gentle young man who was loved by all. Kewanna is a town of less than 600 people and the school had all 12 grades with an average class size of 22. So when I say he was loved by all, you know what I mean.

Jim, it has been so long since you left me alone on the top floor of Dunn Hall at Anderson College. The news of your passing came just before I was to leave for Vietnam. Needless to say, I made it back and still am kicking after all these years. Tal, your and my namesake (David Talbott) is doing great. He is married and has three children of his own, twins, Jack and Maggie 3, and Charles David 5 months. Just thought I'd let you know, I have never forgotten you! Semper Fidelis!
