My Uncle, Samual K. Rankins, was a very brave man. I really never knew him personally, but have heard very many great and wonderful stories about him from his aunt. Everything that she had told me about him was always so great and so fascinating, it made me really want to know him, but I will always know that his story will live on in the lives of many other great heroes and even though I did not know him that well, he will always be a hero to me because he took a stand for his country, and to me that's all you need to do to be a true hero.
