I didn't know him personally but went to school with his sister. That's how I know him. But as another Vietnam veteran, who was fortunate to make it back, I believe all veterans who made the supreme sacrifice should be recognized.

A Note from The Virtual WallThe book and movie We Were Soldiers Once - and Young made the 7th Cavalry's November 1965 fight in the Ia Drang Vally well known to Americans - but the 1st Cavalry Division's losses in the Ia Drang neither began nor ended with that battle.On 02 August 1966, A Company, 2/7th Cavalry, was back in the Valley.
