23 Jul 2004 Dear Rudy, It has been thirty-five (35) years, yet it still feels like yesterday. All the smiles, the tears, the pain, it's all still the same in my Head, and my Heart. Rudy, your life meant so much to so many, it can't be explained why a person leaves such an imprint, yet I think of you every day that I breath. My life was spared, yet my eyes are rarely dry, my heart is always heavy, my mind is always focused, my spirit awaits the time when we are rejoined together. The world has taken on a new face in regards to who we fight, where we fight, and how we fight. but the results stay the same, Americans take the biggest risks, and lose the most, but as always, we lead the way. Jack 11 Jun 2007 Hey Rudy, Jack here. 38 years now. I talk about you to others a few times a month now, seems I have this thing called PTSD, the VA is involved, meetings, therapy and all. They promise me that I should never forget you or others who made the ultimate sacrifice. I share our experiences - good, bad, indifferent. It makes me feel better, if only for the hour or so. A Note from The Virtual Wall Two men from B Company, 52nd Signal Battalion, were killed in an accident on 13 June 1969: SP4 Rudolph Parker and SP4 Walter J. Carney of New York, NY. Ten days later, on 23 June, a third man, PVT Kenneth T. Anderson of San Diego, CA, died of injuries received in an accident on 13 June. Although it seems most likely, The Virtual Wall has not been able to determine with certainty if he was injured in the same incident that killed SP4 Parker and SP4 Carney.
