Our Son

It was the day before Christmas
Our house was full of gloom
Hearts aches and sadness
Filled every room

We drove to the cemetery
Heartbroken, no joy
Because on that day
We buried our boy

We pray he is in heaven
Never again have to roam
But spend eternity with Jesus
In our heavenly home

So friends, if you have children,
Show them you love them each day
Because we never know
When they'll be taken away.
