22 Feb 2006 Hey Brother, Well, this is going to be hard to write but I'll give it a try. I know that you're enjoying Dad, Lorna and everybody else who have gone before us and I pray that you're all together. Wow, I thought I was 10 years old when you died but in reality I was 11 years. I remember you often and pray for you every day, I know that you're with God, Jesus and our Blessed Mother and that you're always watching over us. I think that's why you have asked God to let us all have Dad and Lorna for the time we had with them. I will never forget you and always tell my kids how great you were. I share stories with them all the time that I remember of you, we have pictures of you so that everybody who comes over to the house will also know you. When we see anyone in a military uniform or know of anyone who is in the service, we always thank them for protecting our freedom as you did. I also let them know that we lost you in Vietnam. Jimmy, I miss and love you. Take care and enjoy Dad, Lorna and everybody who have left us. I know that someday we will all be together again. 23 Oct 2006 The memories posted on this site helped me reflect on the price a soldier pays to preserve freedom. The comments posted by his siblings make me realize that these men are more than a name engraved on a wall, and that they are somebody's son, brother, friend or loved one. These comments breathe life into the memory of this Marine. I appriciate the time his loved ones took to share their feelings. God bless your loved one and you for sharing his memory with the world. A Note from The Virtual Wall According to the 2/1 Command Chronology for November 1967, while 3rd Plt, Hotel 2/1 was operating about 6 kilometers south-southeast of Quang Tri Airfield on the 23rd a box-type mine was tripped at 2320H, killing three men and wounding one other. The three dead were 2ndLt Lloyd C. Runnels, San Diego, CA; Cpl Francis J. Muraco, Winchester, MA; and LCpl John J. Martinez.
