We will always remember youJennie13 Mar 2003 As our country heads out to yet another war, let's stop a moment and say a word of prayer for those that lost their lives in Viet Nam and pray that some day we will learn, that the price we pay is too high. More young men will die for this country, Heros all!!
From a friend, 21 May 2007 As another year passes and we are in yet another police action in Iraq. I think of Duane and how he gave his life for what he enjoyed at home - freedom to live as one chose. He laughed and loved and was loved by so many. I for one will always remember him and all those who have followed him in the years since he left us. I will never stop being proud to have known such an American Hero. I pray today and every day for all our servicemen. I love him still.

I miss you, TEX. You always had a smile.
Your friend, This is the only photo that I have of Duane Johnson ... I'm on the left, our medic Doc Robert Santoro is on the right, and Sergeant Johnson is sitting down between us. |
