A Note from The Virtual Wall On December 16, 1967, C Company, 1/5 Infantry (Mech), was co-located with the battalion forward base camp in Tay Ninh Province. In late morning a VC force attacked the company with rocket-propelled grenades and automatic weapons. Four members of the company died in the attack, with a dozen or more wounded. The dead were SP5 James Y. Hidalgo, Uvalde, TX SSG Kenneth D. Kralick, Baltimore, MD SP4 Michael T. Collins, Philadelphia, PA SP4 Edward A. Finlay, Albany, NY The are remembered on the 5th Infantry site
