I had the pleasure of visiting the Moving Wall while it was in Anchorage, Alaska last weekend. What a sight... it was beautiful and a very moving experience to say the least. I took my eight year old daughter with me to educate her and to view the wall; we both left without dry eyes.

In my 7th grade (I'm 42 now) social studies class our teacher assisted us in ordering POW/MIA bracelets. I was given a bracelet with your name on it. I wore the bracelet till our servicemen and women were brought home, at which time I was saddened to find you would not be returning. It was my intention to give you the bracelet, Richard. Unfortunately and sadly, that was never to be. Even though we never knew each other, I would like you to know how I've never fogotten about you and that I admire and appreciate your courage, bravery and selflessness in the service of our country and helping to make the world (or at least a part of it) a little bit better. Take care Mr. Bauer... Peace and God Bless you, my friend.

Love and kind thoughts to you and your family,
Becky McGuire
