I was a good friend of Mike's. We played high school football together. What a "hitter" he was! Everybody called him "Crazy" because of his "reckless abandon" on the football field! His name is never forgotten at our high school reunions ... He is still sorely missed by many. Every Memorial Day I visit his gravesite and place a flag at his headstone. He made an impression on anybody and everybody who knew him. I talked with a former high school friend who knew where Mike was stationed in Viet Nam, and my intention was to look him up when I ended up being injured and having to leave the country just 2 days before his demise. For that I am saddened, and think about what our last words would have been to one another. Thanks for being my friend, Mike.
Fondly,
