In school you were nicknamed "Big Joe" because of your physical size. Now I realize that it was your spirit that was bigger than all of us combined. You continued to give of yourself till the very end. Your spirit still lives. I touched your name on the Wall when it was first erected and I sensed your presence. I have visited with you many times since then and have found an inner peace with your passing. "Big Joe", you are my unsung hero.
