Such a kind and gentle person you were, Bob. You were one good medic. I think of you and all the men from Delta Company 1/506 who made the ultimate sacrifice in the year 1970. Currahee!
From a friend, |
You were one of the most courageous football players I have ever known. I remember and often think of the Weslaco Panther teams of 1963 and 1964.
From his football coach, |
Doc Hays was by my side when hit by mortar fire.
From a fellow CURRAHEE, |
Uncle Bobby, I never knew you but I carry your name. I am your brother's youngest son. Now I serve in the Marines. I try and carry on your glorious name and serve the same. Rest in Peace, Uncle Bobby, now I have the watch.
