The database page for Robert Louis Gunther
I remember Bob Gunther. I have many fond memories of Bob and our school days together in Springfield. Bob was an achiever, a superior student and an athlete. Bob was the BB player who was on the floor after every loose ball and the one with the floor burns to show for it. He was a wrestler and committed to that sport. After high school we all went off to college and I later heard that Bob had enlisted in the Army. Then the news that he was lost. Another high school friend and I attended Bob's memorial service and we talked to a few of his friends there but I never had the opportunity to express my condolences to Bob's Mother. I think of Bob often.
