The database page for Harlan Merdean Craft
Harlan Craft was another young man drafted into the Army who gave his all for his country and each of us. I never knew Harlan but I will meet him soon and I want to shake his hand and tell him what an honor it is to meet him. He was from my home town of Temple, just two years older than I, but we were in-country together and we had the same fears. No, I never met Harlan Craft but I love him as a brother and mourn his death. Harlan was from Temple, Texas, and Temple gave eight young men like Harlan to the war. Was it fair, was it right, did we make a difference? I don't ask these questions any more, I try to honor the dead by taking care of the living. All veterans should be honored and if you know one give him or her a hug and say "Thank you".
